Lotsa Links

HAPPY NEWS:
I recently won a signed arc of May B by Caroline Starr Rose on Terry Lynn Johnson's blog and a copy of Sh*t My Dad Says on Medeia Sharif's blog. I can't wait to get started on both of them!

WHAT I'M READING:
Right now I'm reading TickTock by Dean Koontz. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for horror, and you can't go wrong with Koontz.

HOW MY WRITING'S GOING:
I'm sorry I didn't post last week - I ended up taking an unexpected break to finish up a project. I promised I'd tell you how I did finishing the rough draft of my wip the week before, and I did it. I didn't even have to totally neglect the treadmill - bonus!

AN AWARD:
I was honored to receive the Great Comments Award from Cynthia Chapman Willis. I'm to pass this on to 20 great commenters. I'm so thankful to all who regularly (and even not-so-regularly) visit and comment that I really would love to share this with all of you, but I'll go ahead and follow the rules and just pick 20:

  8. Hi Susan, Congrats! I have been reading more "how to" stuff lately ;D
Horror may just do the trick...

Wonderful to pass on the award, it is a great list!

Congrats on finishing the WIP, rough draft. It is these milestones that keep us on target.

I have to be in the mood for horror! We are having a birthday soon, Zombies will be involved...so I'm gearing up~

  9. Congrats to you for your award!! You ARE a great commenter. Congrats on your ARC wins too, woo! Oh my gosh--I've read TICK TOCK, and I don't even read many adult books. I really liked that book. Tense, exciting! He's a good writer, yep.

  10. Congrats on finishing up your project! I'm working on a couple things right now and it's going well. I don't read horror because I'm a wimp! Don't believe me? I think Jurassic Park is scary and that's not even a horror novel. When I read that late at night I thought dinosaurs were going to come charging into my room and eat me up, LoL.

  11. Congratulations on winning those books. :) No0thing better than getting a book in the mail...for free.

I was inspired to buy several books this week, based on what I had read on blogs about them.

Thanks for considering me a good commentor.

I've been diligently working on my mg novel. I'm getting about a thousand words a day. Today is going to be a hard chapter to write. The children are being evacuated from London on the train and they have to leave their parents. I expect I'll be emotionally spent after I finish it.

    Happy Writing, my friend!

Thank you for considering me a great commenter. *bragging rights* :-) That is an honor, pal.

I like Stephen King and Amaleen Ison. But Koontz is awesome too.

I bet you are glad to get the project finished. I am trying to finish a short story about my son Christopher that I am submitting for an anthology. And my MG and a few picture books. Yikes! I sound busy. No wonder I'm tired. zzzzzzz

    (((hugs)))
