Coffee!!!

Thanks for coming back for more Q&A with Susan. :) Today we're going to talk about one of my favorite things...coffee!

***

Q - Jeanette Levellie asks: "What is your favorite coffee?"

A - Black, the darker roast the better. My favorite brand is Starbucks, but I'll drink about anything as long as it's good and strong.

***

Q - Alex J. Cavanaugh asks: "Explain the significance of the smiley face coffee mug."

A - That's one of my favorite coffee mugs (I have many coffee mugs!) because it was given to me by a group of fifth graders that belonged to a Destination Imagination team I managed several years ago. Plus, it's just really happy. :)

***

Q - Les Edgerton asks: "(1) If someone didn't 'step away from your coffee cup' did you take them down? and (2) If you took them down, did you draw blood?"

A -My blog's first post (363 days ago!) dealt with this very subject. My husband does actually steal a cup of coffee on weekend mornings. I guess I'm an old softie, because I let him get away with it. And I don't even draw blood. :)

***

Q - Old Kitty asks: "Erm...coffee!! Cappuccino? Latte? Half caff...? Chai...??"

A - Since I drink so much coffee (I make 5 cups every morning, some days I drink it all, some days I don't), I drink half caff. Otherwise I'd be too hyper to write anything, let alone take my nap. :)

***

How about you? Are you a coffee drinker? If so, what's your favorite type of coffee? If not, do you have some other favorite treat that gets you into writing mode?
Have a great weekend, everyone!

A smiley face mug! Cool. :)

Sounds like the mug has many means of making you smile.
And sorry, not a coffee drinker. Like the smell, don't like the taste.

Heart the picture!! (hee...) And high-five for Starbucks!! It's way expensive but worth it. Maybe someday we'll see each other and share a cup. I love getting to know you better. So neat. I just might try this. Enjoy your weekend.

Love the picture. Wonder if I could get my hot chocolate to do that. :D

I'm not a fan of coffee. I'm a diet coke girl all the way. :D

I LOVE coffee and am a total caffeine junkie.

I like Dunkin Donuts coffee but I will drink anything except Maxwell House (bleh).

Definitely a coffee drinker. Just plain coffee, though, I don't go for any of the flavored brews. Coffee with a little cream, and Dunkin' Donuts gets my vote :)

Wow! Five cups a day!!!
I actually don't like coffee. I occasionally have green tea. But usually my morning drinks are OJ and a glass of milk or chocolate milk.

I'm not a coffee drinker either. I thought I'd be more in the minority. I don't even like the smell. Shocking. I know.

Susan, while I'm of course disappointed that you don't draw blood when you take someone down for stealing your coffee (do you at least break a bone? even a small one?), I'm with you on the importance of coffee. While your choice is good (my son works at Starbucks), I'm from New Orleans and their strongest isn't strong enough. We get our coffee sent to us from New Orleans and it's the most-sold in NOLA--Community Blend Coffee. I get the dark French roast with chicory and we make it four times the regular strength. It's the only coffee I've ever had that tastes like coffee smells. You can get it for the same price Big Easy residents do at Schweggmann's or Piggly-Wiggly by going to their website and ordering it (plus postage). I promise--once you taste it, you're never going back. I drink 6 to 12 cups a day and also get a triple latte at Starbucks to taper off with...

I don't drink coffee, but I love a good hot cup of cocoa (with lots of extra sweetness...yeah, I'm a bit of a sugar-holic). Love it!

Coffee? Erg, nasty stuff (don't fire-bomb my blog, hahaha). I usually don't need anything to get me in a writing mode! Foodwise, anyway. I love a rainy day, and my grandma's afghan to throw over my knees, though.

DEZMOND said...

do you drink coffee because you like the taste or the effects? :)))
I don't drink coffee, but I do drink black tea with some honey and lemon every morning trying to get back to life.

Strong coffee puts hairs on your chest!! hehe I have a couple of coffees a day but not too strong, but what I need in the mornings to get going is a strong cup of green tea.

Mmm... I can almost smell your dark roast. I don't drink coffee, but I love the smell. :o) I guess that's why I tend towards the herbal teas with chickory--it tastes and smells somewhat similar to coffee. lol

Thanks for sharing, Susan!!!!

I brew Starbucks at home, usually French Roast to feel sophisticated even when drinking out of a disney mug!

Love the coffee-related Q&A.

For me, it's Maxwell House. A little sugar and some Silk Vanilla Soy. But if I'm out, milk is fine. We also bough a Nespresso, so once a week I have a latte from home.

What fun! My husband would get along great with you. He loves coffee. I don't like it at all. Well, unless you count coffee ice cream in mud pie. Then I'm all for it.

Sorry I deleted the last comment. There were a shocking number of typos in it.

I'm not a coffee drinker, haven't touched the stuff in years. But back in the day I used to adore coffee with lots of milk and hazelnut syrup. Or French vanilla. Loved that. I was only driven to black coffee in times of extreme boredom, ie. studying for finals at school. Since then I haven't been able to even look a black coffee in the face without having nightmares of calculus and chemistry and a whole bunch of stuff I had to put myself through to graduate. *shudder*

I love the smell of coffee, but it tastes like burnt water to me. Yuck. Never drink it.
This Q & A series is great!

I don't drink coffee because I can't have caffeine (it gives me migraines) but I really like the smell of coffee, especially coffee + chocolate together. Hope you're having a great weekend!

I'm a tea girl. Can't do anything without my green tea!

We drink Starbucks Breakfast Blend or Verona, half regular half decaf. With half and half. And quite a bit of it too.

I drink coffee sometimes. I like shots of heavily sugared espresso or iced coffee.

Are we related? I love the darker roasts, too. Midnight Magic, Black Tiger, names like that. Did you know that the dark roasts have less acid?

Thanks for the link!

Blessings on you and your week,
Jen

I LOVE the smell of coffee but I really don't like the taste of coffee so I don't drink it. If I'm going to have a hot drink then it will be either a hot chocolate or a herbal tea.
