Blogcation

I've reached a critical point with my wip. The revisions are done and now I'm giving it another read-through. Then I'll let it rest a week and give it one final review. And then (hopefully), out go the queries!

My wip is thirty chapters. I originally hoped to get through the entire thing today or maybe tomorrow. I'm already halfway through today and I'm on chapter three. So I'm revising my game plan. I'm going to unplug for the rest of the week and get this read-through done by Friday (or die trying).

I'll be back on May 1 for Lilah Pierce's Last Line Blogfest - hope to see you there!

Your novel will thank you! Best of luck once you get to the query stage -- revisions don't require luck: they require blood, sweat, toil and tears, and it looks like you're ready to make the sacrifice!

Wow good luck with that. It can be tough to have a finished work in your lap and the anxiety just builds up. You want to get it out there and have it read but take your time or have a friend read it too so you don't miss anything!!!!!!!!! Good luck!!! I hope to hear about your book and read about it in the near future! I really enjoyed your excerpts, I still remember them and STILL want to read some more snippets :) Your characters are very interesting and I want to get the whole story about the time machine and the fate of the world!

Thanks SO much for the shout out! I'm SO excited for Last Line and everyone's entries!

I wish you the best of luck, not with the revisions - bc I know you will get through them - but on starting your queries! How exciting...and TERRIFYING! Kudos and happy thoughts to you Susan!

Good luck with your unplugging! Thirty chapters is A LOT!

Give yourself as much time as it takes. And even do a second read through after you've given yourself time to let your head clear. It shouldn't interfere with your querying as the major work is done.

Best of luck!

Good luck. Take your time and don't be too hard on yourself if you don't make it by Friday.

Good luck revising. It has taken me almost a year to revise my wip - and that is just 25 chapters! So I am awesomely impressed by your speed, and hope all goes well for you!

That's great that you've completed a book and are proofreading it.
I hope you get it done by Friday -- and give yourself until 11:59!
It's also good that once you're done you'll let it sit for about a week. That does help!
Good luck & happy reading, I mean, proofreading! :)
